Even a cursory review of British Columbia’s human rights case law indicates a growing trend toward human rights complaints against strata corporations and their strata council members.

Generally speaking, in British Columbia there are two statutes that may govern a human rights dispute, depending on the circumstances, one federal[79]and one provincial.[80] Either one or the other will apply.
